About Hot Pride

Hot Pride familyWe’re proud to be living in the Pacific Northwest and to be Oregonians. We live in a wonderful country and have been blessed with life in HORSE COUNTRY!

Our family’s love of horses began in California and in 2003 we made Oregon our forever home. We’ve owned, leased, trained, been bucked off, and been made horse poor – – all in the pursuit of the equine lifestyle. We are a mixed family! One of us is a hunter/jumper and the other a once-upon-a-time western rider. 

We are passionate about our equine businesses. We started MC2 Marketing & On Fire Websites (which specializes in equine business marketing – branding, websites, social media, SEO, and much more) after escaping the corporate marketing world in 2004. We started Hot Pride clothing in 2016. 

Teri, aka The Boss, started Hot Pride as a means to fund-raise for Oregon Horse Country Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit, that supports “heroes” of the equine world. Heroes who work to rescue abandoned horses, introduce riding to under-privileged children, offer riding therapy to veterans, create feed-banks, and make so many other vital and valuable contributions to our community.  

President of the Foundation, Teri works with the Board and volunteers to fund-raise and then give it back out to the community. Teri says, “It is so easy to get caught up in work and the stresses of life and not take time to give back. I want to know in my heart that I paid-it-forward and helped feed a starving horse, saved a horse from slaughter, and, perhaps, helped a child explode in joy at the sight of a horse.”

Hot Pride was designed to help spread the love of horses and  expand the good will and good work of non-profits everywhere, not just in Oregon. Remember, show you’re proud. Wear it!

Q. Do you take credit card payment? 
A.
Yes, we used Paypal. You do NOT need to be a Paypal member/user. You can use your credit card to make the purchase.

Q. How do you determine shipping costs?  
A.
Single order tee-shirts ship First Class Mail (5-7 days) for $5.50. When you order multiple tee-shirts, they ship USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days) for $5.50 first shirt and each additional tee-shirt adds $1 each. Sweatshirts ship USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days) for $8 first sweatshirt and each additional sweatshirt or tee-shirt adds $1 each.

Q. Do you accept returns?  
A.
Yes, if the printing is defective. No, for reasons of color, fit or size. When in doubt, order larger!

Q.  Do you charge sales tax?  
A.
  No, we are located in Oregon, which does not charge sales tax.

Q.  Do you do custom designs?  
A.
 Yes, please visit our Custom Design page to learn more about it.

Q.  Is there a minimum order for custom designs?  
A.
 No, we can print 1 or as many as you like. The price is the same, but for larger quantities we will work on a price break. Visit our Custom Design page to learn more and get ideas!

Q.  I don’t see the style I want. Can you get it?  
A.
 We can try! Let us know what you’d like… send a link to the web page showing the style. Email us via the Contact page.

Q.  How do I care for (wash, dry, etc) the shirts?  
A.
 We enclose a Garment Care card with your order, but simply… 1) wash it inside out with cold water, 2) iron it inside out on the lowest setting, 3) do not use bleach, and 4) tumble dry low or hang dry the garment. 

Q.  Can I reorder a shirt design?  
A.
In most cases, yes, you can reorder anytime. Occasionally, we may retire a design if it is a “Limited Time Only” offer or if we don’t get many orders of the design.

Q.  Who’s the horse?  
A.
 That’s Jake. Collicked a few years back, but we loved him dearly. RIP Jakester!
